JW Marriott Chicago Appoints Jack Delby As Its New Executive Chef
February 15, 2023 (Chicago, IL) – The JW Marriott Chicago has appointed Jack Delby as its new Executive Chef, it was announced today by Hassan El Neklawy, General Manager.
Chef Delby joins the Chicago luxury hotel from his most recent appointment as Executive Chef of the Marriott Marquis Chicago. He has also held Executive Chef positions at the Renaissance Schaumberg Hotel and Convention Center, Troy Marriott, and Marriott Hickory Ridge Conference Center.
A graduate of the Washburn Trade School Chef training program, Chef Delby has also received training at the Hyde Park Culinary Institute of America and Greystone Culinary Institute of America. Additionally, he was an Adjunct Instructor at the College of DuPage Culinary Program. He has been recognized with numerous culinary awards including the American Culinary Foundation’s 2009 ACF Central Region Chef of the Year and 2010 Chicago Chef of the Year. Chef Jack was also the Renaissance Chef of the Year in 2009 and Marriott Chef of the Year 2002.
Chef Delby will be responsible for all food and beverage operations at the hotel including the Lobby Bar as well as room service and all meeting and social events catering.
